About Us

My name is Amanda Jarrell. I am the main owner of Sure Shot English Labs, but I could not do it without the love and support from my husband, Nathan. We have have built a wonderful life that revolves around our kids and dogs. I am a stay at home mother to four kids that range from big to little. Our children have always been a huge part of raising our puppies and caring for our dogs. Being a stay at home mom gives me a lot of free time to be able to dedicate towards our dogs and puppies. It is not just a job for me. It has been my passion. I first decided to start breeding Labradors when I got my children their first puppy. I fell for the cute little bundle of joy without doing much research on the importance of a Health Tested or well-bred puppy. After raising her and seeing the health problems she had to deal with I decided to do a lot of research on  health testings, pedigrees and Labrador Retrievers in general.

I take providing your next family member very seriously and dedicate a lot of time and love into each puppy that we have. I am there helping mamma every step of the way through delivery. I have spent lots of time bottle feeding all hours of the day and missed lots of family events as needed to make sure the puppies and parents have the upmost care and attention given to them. 

We chose Labrador Retrievers because they fit into our life style perfectly! They are very friendly and out going. They can be protective, but not aggressive. We are a very outdoors oriented family. Any of our labs are always ready to go to the ball field, river, hunting camp, or love a lazy day around the house. 

I am very picky with the Labradors I will breed. My biggest criteria is health testings and conformation. I love the look of a good, well-bred English Labrador Retriever. Another big thing for me is temperament. I strive to make sure all of our adults have that calm, eager to please personality. I have had lots of puppies have great success in hunting, service work, showing, and being lazy family pets.
